At ShadowPrep, we believe privacy isn't just a feature—it's our foundation. Our system is built on the principle of Zero Data Retention.

Multi-Layer Key Security

We take your credentials seriously. Any sensitive keys you enter (such as Ollama, OpenGraph or Deepgram API keys) are encrypted during transit and storage. This ensures that your private keys remain unreadable and secure within our cloud infrastructure.

Local-First, Key-Synced

To provide a seamless experience, your encrypted API keys and identity credentials are automatically synchronized via ShadowSync. This ensure you never have to re-configure your setup, while keeping your sensitive keys under high-grade encryption in the cloud.

Zero Session Sync:Deep personalization data (like specific skills or company context) and AI conversations are handled strictly in your own system memory. They are never synced to the cloud and are purged the moment you close the application.

Ephemeral Analysis

ShadowPrep does NOT store, log, or record any of your screen captures or audio processing data on our servers. Screen analysis images are processed in-memory by your AI and immediately discarded.

Third-Party API Services (OpenRouter)

ShadowPrep offers optional integration with OpenRouter, a third-party service that provides access to premium cloud AI models. This is a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) integration.

  • Your OpenRouter API key is encrypted and synchronized via ShadowSync, ensuring it remains secure within our cloud infrastructure while accessible across your devices.
  • Any data sent to OpenRouter models is governed by OpenRouter's own privacy policy, not ours.
  • Credits for OpenRouter models are purchased directly from OpenRouter. ShadowPrep does not handle or benefit from those payments.

Cloud Collection

To provide account-based services, we only collect:

  • Identity: Your email address for authentication and linking ShadowSync configurations.

Your Control

To delete your account and all associated cloud data (ShadowSync), please contact us directly at shadowprepai@gmail.com with your registered email address. We will process your deletion request manually within 48 hours. This action is irreversible.
